THE TUESDAY PROJECT – 8PM & 10PM

The Tuesday Project is guitarist Jerry Bresee, tenor saxes Dayton Eckerson and Dave Gilmour, Drummer Alan Kirschenbaum, bassist “The” Mark Lopes, jazz flautist Steve Marcus and pianist Rob Orwin. While all the guys are members of various jazz groups around the DC area, they get together two Tuesday each month to study with master musician Jeff Antoniuk. They play straight-ahead jazz, frequently with a Brazilian and Afro-Cuban twist. With three horns (including a full-time flute) and a four-piece rhythm section, their sound is big, a bit different, and energetic
