NATHAN HOOK – 8PM & 10PM

At just 22 years old, Nathan is a versatile musician who is quickly making a name for himself on the Washington D.C. jazz scene. He is a recent graduate of University of Maryland, where he received degrees in both Jazz Studies and Psychology.

Originally from Towson, MD, Nathan began studying classical piano at the age of 4 and eventually picked up the saxophone at age 10 after being inspired by the music of John Coltrane. These days, he performs regularly and with equal skill on both instruments.

His quartet performs exciting arrangements of well known standards, as well as his original tunes. As a composer, Nathan is continually seeking new and unique ways of combining his musical influences, which include everything from straight-ahead jazz, to hip-hop, to indie rock.
