Rising world music star Namvula brings the energy of Zambian folk, combining it with jazz and London’s eclectic, vibrant music scene to create a dynamic, evocative and uplifting sound. Based in London, and on tour in the US for the first time, catch the Zambian-Scottish singer and songwriter with her full band that features some of the UK’s top African and jazz musicians, including percussionist Mamadou Sarr (Baaba Maal), and Mercury-nominated sax player Chris Williams and bassist Liran Donin. Her US shows come on the heels of an intensive period of touring the UK and Europe, following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Shiwezwa, launched in November 2014, which, alongside several 4-star reviews in leading publications, was  selected amongst the Top 100 Albums of 2014 in leading UK newspaper The Sunday Times.
