Twins Jazz is delighted to welcome back Summit Records recording artists The MARS 4-tet. An All-Star east coast band with a Grammy Winner amongst them, this group is not to be missed. They move effortlessly from Horace Silver and Weather Report to the pop hits of Stevie Wonder and Led Zeppelin. Get ready for energy, humor and groove. The MARS 4-tet ain’t your Grandma’s jazz band.
The group’s 2014 Summit release “The Blind Watchmaker” received airplay across the USA and Canada, and the band has been receiving glowing response from critics for years. Whether it is their own enticing compositions, reimaginations of Thelonious Monk and Keith Jarrett, or an offhanded “Black Dog” by Led Zeppelin, you are going to want a front row seat for this Friday & Saturday run at Twins Jazz.
