Ken Wessel, a versatile, sensitive and soulful guitarist, worked with revolutionary jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman for over 12 years as a member of Prime Time, Ornette’s groundbreaking ensemble. A vital and personal voice on the guitar, he has also worked with Donald Fagen, David Liebman, John Abercrombie, Karl Berger, Badal Roy, Debashish Bhattacharya, Arthur Prysock, Adam Rudolph and others from the jazz, pop and world music spectrum. Kenny’s most recent CD, Weights & Measures received 4 stars in Downbeat Magazine (his other CDs as a leader include Jawboning and Daybreak).
