Eivind Opsvik is a Norwegian musician who’s been living in New York for close to
fifteen years years
His main projects are his band “Overseas”, the instrumental chamber-pop duo Opsvik
& Jennings and his solo project.
His band, “Overseas” has been together for over ten years and they continue to play
venues in New York City and festivals in the US and abroad. Eivind writes and
arranges all the music.
In the spring of 2012 they released their fourth album, aptly called “Overseas IV”.

Opsvik & Jennings released their third album on CD and Vinyl; “A Dream I Used to
Remember” (Loyal Label) in 2009.
Eivind is currently working on a solo album.
Eivind plays/has played in the bands of Paul Motian, Tony Malaby, David Binney,
Kris Davis and Nate Wooley and collaborated with among others Bill Frisell, Brian
Blade, Nasheet Waits, Paal Nilssen-Love, Chris Potter and Mat Maneri.
Although his instrument is the bass, he also plays various other instruments like
lap steel guitar, old analog keyboards and drums, and is also heavily involved in
recording and mixing, composing and creating music, and running a record label;
