Bjorn Thoroddsen

Bjorn has been one of Iceland’s leading Jazz guitarist for many years. He has released a number of critically acclaimed albums and has won several Icelandic Music Awards, including “Jazz Performer of the Year” in 2003.

 

At a young age Bjorn moved to Los Angeles to expand his studies and graduated from the Guitar Institute of Technology in 1982. Originally a Rock musician, his attention was soon turned towards Jazz, where it has remained to this day.

 

Bjorn performs both as a solo artist and as a member in several bands, including Cold Front and Guitar Islancio. He has collaborated with musicians such as Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Tommy Emmanuel, Nigel Kennedy, James Carter, Philip Catherine and many others. Bjorn also runs the annual Icelandic Guitar Festival, which is televised and has become a big hit in recent years with numerous sold-out shows.

 

Jae Sinnett

As a recording artist, Jae Sinnett has 10 Jazz recordings out as a leader. For 21 years Jae has worked as Jazz producer/host for National Public Radio affiliate in Norfolk, VA. He hosts an extremely popular Jazz show called “Sinnett in Session”.

He has performed with a number of artists over the years, including Branford and Ellis Marsalis, Justin Kauflin, Allen Farnham, Terry Burrell, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard and Many others

 

Jimmy Masters

Jimmy has been playing bass for over 30 years. His musical journeys have taken hime through every kind of music, from Rock, Acoustic, Folk, Bluegrass and Country music to Classical music, straight-ahead Jazz and the Avante Garde Scene.

 

The trio, which is led by Icelandic guitarist Bjorn Thoroddsen, performs a variety of musical styles, anything from Django style to Classic Jazz standards to old school Rock&Roll.
