Saxophonist Lyle Link is an artist based in the Washington Metropolitan area. A versatile musician and sought after sideman, he is comfortable in many styles of contemporary music, from jazz and blues to latin and R&B. His sound and artistry has graced the recordings of many vocalists and instrumentalists. Equally comfortable on tenor and alto saxophone, he has played with pop icons Patti Labelle, James Ingram, Isaac Hayes and jammed with Prince. He has performed at many venues around the country and is a current member of the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, under the direction of David Baker. He has also performed in Europe, the Middle East and South America and just returned from tours in Turkey as well as an extended tour in China.
