JAZZ LOFT QUARTET WITH FREDDIE REDD - More Info

Project Jazz Loft celebrates the New York City loft scene as documented by photographer W. Eugene Smith in the 1950s and 60s. Prior to the performance, there will be on-stage interviews and discussions with jazz researchers Mike Fitzgerald and Bertrand Uberall and loft veterans Freddie Redd and Butch Warren.

The performance will feature music from Freddie Redd's score to the 1959 Living Theatre Production "The Connection" (the cast party was held at the loft), originals by Butch Warren, and standards that appeared on the numerous tapes made between 1957 and 1965.
